Onboard Guitar Preamps
The JE-1000 preamp produced in our company is an improved version of the preamplifier of the same name known from Jackson guitars. The preamplifier was made in the SMD version, thanks to which the module is more compact than the original, while maintaining great operating parameters.
This preamp can work with almost any passive setup of pickups in the electric guitar, and its unquestionable advantage compared to other onboard preamps is the ability to shift the resonance frequency of the pickups, which allows you to set the desired guitar sound. The musician can change the resonant frequency by changing the settings of the micro switches located on the PCB. Three switches allow for a total of eight different sounds.
The JE-1000 preamp has a built-in push-pull potentiometer on the PCB, which is responsible for the VOLUME control, and switches between the "normal" mode and the "Gain boost" mode, where the gain is increased by the value set on the VR2 potentiometer (it is a small SMD potentiometer soldered directly on the PCB).
To meet the expectations of our customers, this preamplifier has been prepared in a solderless version - the JE-1000 preamp is equipped with screw terminals that allow you to install the preamplifier in the guitar without using a soldering iron. Use a small flat screwdriver to tighten the screw terminals.
The JE-1000 preamplifier comes with an additional tone control potentiometer, which can be used as an option.
