The DiffAmp is a simple guitar preamp built around a low-noise op-amp that operates in a differential amplifier configuration.

The DiffAmp plugs directly into the humbucker pickup. With this configuration, the DiffAmp amplifies the differential signal from the pickup's coils and at the same time suppresses the common signal (hum).
